Philosophy

Simply put, we care about and thoroughly enjoy kids.  Our goal is for every child to have fun, be creative, achieve new skills, and develop new friendships in a safe environment.  The memories will last a lifetime.

Experienced Director

Cheryl King completed her Master of Arts in Teaching degree at Johns Hopkins University with a 4.0 GPA, has taught as a certified teacher, and worked for 7 years at the Center for Talented Youth at Johns Hopkins University. More importantly, she is the mother of 3 young children of her own!

Highly Trained Staff

We have extra hands when the kids need it! With a dedicated Art Teacher, a hands-on Director, Tennis Instructors AND our Counselors, we often far exceed the 1:10 camper / staff ratio required. All counselors have teaching, education and/or camp experience. All staff are criminal-background checked through the FBI, are fingerprinted, and are first-aid and CPR certified. Swim lessons are overseen by Water Safety Instructors. We don't skimp when it comes to giving your kids the attention they deserve.

Great Location

Convenient to Harford and Baltimore Counties, Valleybrook's 20 secluded acres is the perfect setting for good old-fashioned fun. Two air-conditioned buildings allow for indoor activities on those hot or rainy days. "The Loft", our renovated barn, is a favorite among campers.
